Terms of service

GarageIQ gives AI-generated diagnostic guidance and technical reference information to automotive repair professionals: fault code analysis, symptom diagnosis, labour time estimates, repair steps, service data and similar.

By creating an account you agree to these terms.

GarageIQ supports the judgement of a qualified technician. It does not replace it, and it does not replace manufacturer specifications or proper diagnostic procedure.

• Every torque figure, replacement interval, fluid capacity and labour time is guidance. Check it against manufacturer data for the exact vehicle before you use it.
• Safety-critical information, including brakes, steering, timing belt and chain data and structural parts, must always be confirmed against the manufacturer's workshop manual.
• Labour times are AI estimates and may differ from the time a job actually takes.
• Part numbers and prices are approximate. Confirm them with your supplier.

As a qualified professional, you are responsible for:

• verifying every safety-critical specification before you start work
• using your own professional judgement on anything GarageIQ suggests
• making sure repairs meet UK regulations and MOT standards
• holding suitable professional indemnity insurance for your business
• keeping your login to yourself: each user has their own, and sharing them is not allowed
• managing who on your team has access, if you are the account administrator

• Free trial: 7 days, up to 4 users, a fair-use limit of 250 diagnoses. A payment card is needed to start. Nothing is charged during the 7 days, and if you cancel before they end you pay nothing.
• Pro: £80 a month including VAT where applicable, up to 4 users, one location, unlimited diagnoses within a fair-use limit of 150 a day.
• Enterprise: priced by agreement.

Pro renews monthly until you cancel. Payments are taken by Stripe.

To cancel: tap the "Pro" badge at the top of the app. It opens your billing page, where you can cancel, change your card or download invoices. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. There are no lock-in contracts and no refunds for part months.

If a payment fails, we will email you and ask you to update your card. You keep access for 24 hours. After that, GarageIQ is paused until the payment goes through.

How we handle your information is set out in our privacy notice. In short: registration lookups go to the DVLA and DVSA, your questions go to our AI provider to be answered, we do not sell your data, and confirmed fixes may be used in an anonymised form to make GarageIQ more accurate for everyone.

To the fullest extent the law allows, GarageIQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of GarageIQ, including loss of profit, loss of data or damage to a vehicle.

Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for GarageIQ in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

The GarageIQ service, its prompts, its models and the confirmed-fix database belong to GarageIQ. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or redistribute any part of it. Your own diagnoses and notes remain yours.

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Using GarageIQ after that date means you accept the new terms.
